I hope you are starting to feel like you know me, I have really enjoyed putting the “pen to paper” to help you understand who Kait Brocious is and give you an insider scoop on the evolution of the Kait Brocious group. This week we are going to talk about 1 big misconception and then how through growth that helped me build and develop the direction I would take my team.
Because of the sweat, time, and inevitably a lot of tears, building a career in real estate is not as easy as some may think. Everyone seems to think when you get into real estate that you have “freedom.” At the beginning of your career, you’ll feel anything but freedom. For my first two years, I worked 60-80 hour weeks, almost every single holiday and weekend. You’re building your business, laying a strong foundation to something that needs to stand strong enough to thrive in any market. I learned how I wanted to treat my clients, and definitely learned how I did not want to treat my clients. I had really awesome mentors take me in and help to grow me, which gives credit to my week 1 and week 2 blogs. I realized my passion really quickly and I am so grateful I did. Building a team has been such a welcomed challenge.
“…we’re not the right fit for each other”
My team’s motto is, “We Sell Homes Not Houses,” for me, selling homes is about the experience and the memories. It can easily become a strictly transactional-all-business process. The truth is that the majority of the population is looking for their next chapter, looking to start a family, grow their family, leaving old memories behind… While I certainly cannot say that every home sale or purchase is a, “feel good” move, it has been an area that I’ve enjoyed being human. I love getting excited for my clients. I appreciate how hard each and every client has worked for their money in order to achieve the all-American dream of homeownership. The highs come with the lows, I also feel sad for them when they may lose out on a home that they’ve already built daydreams around. There are people out there who specifically want a transactional service, and after one meeting, I’m sure we would both discover that we’re not the right fit for each other. And that right there is ok with me. My service is a “white glove” service, protecting and guiding my clients from start to finish.
“It’s a chapter I like to call, “Welcome Home!”
I’m leading and growing my family, building a successful career, and now creating a team so that I can continue to give back and help the next ones up. I want to have like-minded people on my team that fully embody our team motto. My team wants to sell homes and want to have awesome clients just like you and be a part of your story as you write your next chapter. It’s a chapter I like to call, “Welcome Home!”
Third-week series has come and gone so quickly, stay tuned in as we continue to get to know each other better and continue to talk real estate. Have a question? Make sure to leave a comment below. My team and I look forward to serving you. Stay safe and well!
